Garmin Forerunner 245, GPS Running Smartwatch with Advanced Dynamics, Slate Gray (Renewed)
- I got this watch in PERFECT condition. No dents, chips, scratches, battery issues, etc. Saved myself $15 and helped the planet by going for the refurbished one and I\'m glad it pulled through. The watch itself is phenomenal. If you\'re into (primarily running, but there are many others) working out you need a Garmin watch. I suggest going to the Garmin website or watching a few videos before you buy one because Garmin sells like 30 sportwatches, all with different capabilities. So if you\'re a swimmer, this watch can track it but it might not give you the best metrics compared to one devoted to swimming. This watch is devoted to running (but still tracks a lot of biking and other workouts) so it really depends what you like working out the most. You can find good indepth reviews of this watch and others on YouTube so I\'ll just say it\'s a great watch (even though I bought it two years old it still has a ton of health features and I don\'t feel like it\'s lacking at all), an amazing battery life, and it came in PERFECT quality.
- Way better than I expected. At first the heart rate was massively off, but that’s because I was wearing it like a regular watch. You need to wear it above the wrist bone.I just switched to this from my Whoop, because it gives me a lot more analytics, and is an actual watch with other features :-)Comparing side-by-side, the Garman gave a very similar breakdown of sleep cycles, heart rate, but then also gave: temperature, elevation, cadence, a free very in-depth and easy to use running program, A way to look at all my data without having to use my darn phone, and a heck of a lot more.Biggest challenge with the Garman, is that it is so capable of so many things, I had to watch a lot of YouTube videos to figure out how to use it. For everything it does though, with no subscription pricing, Garmin is the superior device in my opinion.
- Overall this watch is working well. I have had a few connectivity problems as others have mentioned but they are easily fixed by powering the watch off and back on. Biggest challenge is the lack of quick GPS connectivity which then leads to a miscalculation of the run.
- 3 star score is for durability. The screen cracked completely across after only 40 days and I have only been using it for daily use/running. They charge $120 to replace it. These watches seem to be reducing in quality every year. Love the Garmin app and environment but will be looking elsewhere when this one inevitably dies due to water intrusion through the crack.
- Product came in new condition, wouldn\'t even have known if was refurbished. Excellent fitness watch that has all of the features I was looking for. Easy to set up and the battery life lasts so much longer than my other brand watch.
- I use it for running and it does an awesome work
- I\'ve had the exact same experience as another reviewer---dead pixels after 8 months and no good option for exchange. Penny wise pound foolish---should have paid more for the Garmin warranty. The pixels are a known issue on the Garmin site. Also, the fitness data was a little weird compared to my prior 235 model. Not as accurate a race predictor (my refurbished 235 ran perfectly for 5 years before I upgraded to the 245).
- It is great watch at a great price. Husband and son loved it. There is so much the watch can do!!!
