Garmin BC 40 Wireless Camera with Tube Mount, Attaches to Roll Cage or Flat Panel, Rugged for Off-Road Conditions
- Don\'t like that it overrides the backup camera and becomes the default camera. It can run through AA batteries very quickly. Images are very clear and work well for most of my needs.
- Lacks a way to secure the camera so it does not get stolen or fall off during hard rides. Decent clarity but could be better. A bit to much lag time to get cam view. Overall a solid purchase if you already have the tread and a must if you have a side by side.
- Good for a backup camera, I originally got it to put on the back of trailers or my camper, but the signal wasn’t strong enough being far away from the screen. Now I use it for a back up camera on the back of my truck works great
- This unit was used on my RZRXP4 1000 utv and works very well
- The description says \"compatible with Garmin Tread\" but when I contacted support when it would not install all I got was \"it\'s not compatible with the Tread SXS\" and was sent a link to make a suggestion for an update. SURPRISE!!
- Perfect mount for my trailer
- Simply. Don’t use it with Overlander.
- I installed this on my UTV and paired to a Garmin Tread, off-road GPS. Installation and pairing was flawless; however, the camera will not stay powered on, even with new batteries, and shows a low power indicator in the GPS. Garmin is aware of the issue and their engineers are working on a solution, but I’d recommend NOT purchasing this for that application until they work out the bugs. As it is right now I can’t use the camera as intended b/c it won’t stay powered on. As others have mentioned, there is no way to secure the device other than snapping it into the mount. I worry about the security of it on both off-road applications and theft.
