- This dash mount is heavy and is great for slanted dashes. I have a Jeep Renegade that doesn’t have a flat spot for my gps and I don’t want to use my window. So I purchased this and was pretty impressed. It doesn’t move at all when it’s placed on the dash. I’ve seen people complain about mounting the suction into the unit itself but cleaning the suction part of the gps before getting it to attach helps a lot. Once it’s on it doesn’t fall off. I actually came back to buy another one for my truck and decided to leave a review.
- Bought this to go with my new Garmin Drivesmart 86. Took an 800 mile RT and it worked perfectly. Heavy enough to stay put on some very bumpy roads (just remember to remove the protective paper on the underside of the mount).
- I cleaned the unit with enclosed pad. Then tried alcohol. Could not get my backup camera to maintain suction to keep it in place.
- This dashboard weighted mount does not have any adhesives on the bottom of it, so it can move around. The weight of the mount does prevent it from moving around too much. Only time I had issue was when I accelerated too quickly in my car, then the mount moved backwards some, but it did not fall off the dash. I did not want the mounts with adhesives on the bottom, so that I can easily remove it off the dash when I was not using it. This works pretty well for that purpose.
- I’m not a big fan of sticking suction mounts to my windshield. This mount is an acceptable alternative which has a decent non-slip surface to mount a GPS or a backup camera monitor. Make sure the dashboard is clean, and the bottom of the mount too. Wiping both with the lint-free or microfiber cloth that’s been wetted with water is sufficient. If it’s starting to slip, give it a wipe again and hit the dash too and it should be good to go.
- I didn\'t want to drill holes in the dash or use glue, but I was a little skeptical this would stay in place in my truck, as it is not the smoothest riding vehicle out there. First time out, on a 500 plus mile round trip, it stayed where I put it and held the tire monitor for my RV in place without any issues. After the trip, it came off without leaving any residue. Good product.
- This bean bag dash mount is perfect for my RV my motorhome, it is super heavy and does not budge once placed on the dashboard. With a suction cup mount any of my devices will stay put real well and I can adjust the amount so I can have a perfect view of my devices.
- I was very please with how easy it was to setup. It doesn\'t move while driving. The bottom section is heavy with a tacky rubbery bottom and the area where the displays suction cup goes is smooth so the suction cup holds very well.
