- I was really just looking for a model with a suction cup. While these both fit my Garmin Speak, where another model form another manufacturer did not when it was stated that it would, I see no way to remove the adhesive ring from the larger mount without destroying its ability to achieve suction.My preference would be to have interchangeable attachments, one with adhesive if I want it mounted to the dash, and another without if I want to suction it to the windshield.
- works better than the OEM mount which required a magnet and a sticky film. This was just a strong suction cup and was much easier to manipulate and mount. Now I can move the camera easily from car to car.
- Fits Garmin 45 dash cam great. Sticks to windshield and stays, even in southern California desert sun. Lasted about one year. Adhesive melted and it kept sliding down my windshield.
- It suctions to and sticks where you put it. I think this would hold up something much heavier than the Garmin dash cams. It is way to big to put it in an unobtrusive location on your windshield. Unless you have a very large windshield get the Garmin OE suction cup.
- Perfect for my garmen 45 dashcam. It lasted a while until I left it on my windshield for a long time sitting in the heat. Any mount would have gave up at that point so be sure to remove mount if not in vehicle for a long time. Otherwise it\'s perfect, never fell or detached from windshield. I bought another one.
- When I first received this, I thought it was great. Having used it for a month or so I have found it to be a bit of a pain as it consistently loosens and I have to readjust it and realign my dash cam (a very small and.light Garmin) because of the loose elbow and vertical mounting peg. The most positive thing I can say is that the sticky suction cup works well.
