- Update: 1/10/23 - This adapter works on non-OEM android auto as well. I have 2006 Toyota Sienna on which I installed an android unit from Binize and today I just plugged in the adapter to it, and it just worked seamlessly. Now I can move this between my Ford and Sienna. Added photos from my Sienna.I have 2020 Ford Explorer and wanted to convert my android auto to wireless android auto which my car doesn\'t support. Found this adapter and ordered it. Installation is very easy 3steps process but it didn\'t work for me. My car didn\'t detect the adapter when I plugged in. There is a small trick to it. After you connect the adapter, look for the device in the bluetooth and connect your phone to it. The android auto on your phone will start up and after that the car will have the pop-up menu for the android auto. If it still doesn\'t pop-up connect the phone to the adapter\'s wifi as well. This is required only once. After that it just works. Now as soon as I turn on my car, in few seconds, my phone will auto-connect to the adapter via bluetooth and android auto starts up right away. Super happy with this product. Now i dont have to worry about all the wires sticking out and hanging around. I can plug in the phone in the dash if I want it to charge and tuck it away inside it so no wires are visible outside.
- Bought this with one review that had been posted, the review was positive and the price was right so I said why not! Hooked it up to my truck and connected very easily per the instructions. Functions as if it was wired, I was impressed! There were a few hiccups with it disconnecting randomly which I was bummed about, but the support team had reached out to me and said they are always available. I reached out to them with my concern and they replied within the hour with instructions on how to fix. I was also able to update to the latest firmware while in the settings. So far things are better! Will report back after some more usage, hope to change my rating to 5-star!
- This product WILL NOT, DOES NOT work on the Ford Explorer, 2020 radio. It will not recognize the unit when plugged in to either USB or TYPE-C connectors. Doesn\'t even acknowledge it\'s connected.03/07/23 - Update... I have since tried this unit on my Harley Davidson Radio and it works. I have not tried to use the phone feature, well, because Motorcycle. But all the other apps, navigation, waze, pod casting, Music Stream all work. So I\'m upgrading my 1 start up to 4 stars because I still cannot use it in my vehicle.
- I’m actually quite impressed with this wireless adapter. It works as advertised on my 2021 Buick Enclave and Samsung galaxy S22. Connection was simple enough, after you connect the adapter, look for the device in your phones bluetooth and connect to it. The android auto on your phone will start up and the car will have wireless android auto. If it still doesn\'t pop up connect the phone to the adapter\'s wifi as well. This is required only once. It only takes about 10 seconds and my phone will auto connect to the adapter via bluetooth and android auto starts up right up. Now I just put the phone in the charging cradle, start the car and have Android Auto with no wires. Its GREAT 5 stars!!!
