- I have worn a Garmin fenix 5X for the last 5 years and have loved it. My son was in the market for a new watch but didn\'t have that kind of money to shell out. I found this Garmin Vivoactive 3 and recommended it to him because of the fitness tracking features Garmin includes in most, if not all, of their smart watches. He absolutely loves it! He loves that he can now track his runs without having to take his phone, especially since he can download music directly onto the watch and listen from there. He has changed the watch face to be a picture of his nephew, another feature he loves.The only thing I would mention as a negative is that the fitness tracking isn\'t as robust on the Vivoactive 3 as what I have on the fenix 5X. I have so many more options to choose from for tracking my fitness than my son does. Other than that, this is a great buy!
- Not the best battery life, does not make it a week especially if I\'m more active. But, it does charge very fast back to full capacity.Not sure if it\'s b/c it was refurbished or if it\'s just a smaller battery. Not a big issue for me, I just use it for it\'s simple functionality - mostly for hear rate monitoring, surfing, timer, calories and golf.Looks and build quality are soliYou\'ll need to download the Garmin app and their golf app (or others depending on function), and the apps are not the best UX compared to Apple or others.
- Very happy with this purchase. It came in like new condition. It took me 30 minutes to completely learn and set it with my wahoo roam head unit. Instant pairing and broadcasting heart rate to is a so cool. Thank you Garmin 😉I should have bought it year back. Very useful tracking....Steps, Hydration, heart rate for cycling. Excellent solution for training zones for cycling, instead of chest mount heart rate strap. Took one star away for useless music feature cause you cannot put your mp3 songs need DEEZER??

- Battery left a lot to be desired. Watch has good functionality and a broad set of things to track but it wasn’t worth it to have to have it fully charged for one 2 mile run(100% down to 10% doing run and music). I bought in hopes to use for golf and never got the chance because the battery was so poor.
- UPDATE!!!I was finally able to pair the watch with my phone and now I love it. I was able to reset my watch by holding the \"key\" for several seconds until it completely rebooted. After it rebooted, everything paired without a hitch.The watch is simple (which is what I wanted), but I can still listen to music without my phone while walking. I cannot answer phone calls or texts, but I am completely okay with that. I do receive notifications for calls and I can see text messages.Pros: the watch is small and light. It fits very snugly on my skinny old lady wrist and does not aggravate my joint issues (inflammation).I wore it while sleeping and it gave excellent data. I can listen to music from the watch without my phone.Cons: I could not get it to download any music apps (initially). I was finally able to connect with Amazon prime music. The only way to use Spotify is if you have a premium account, and I don\'t.Good luck. This is a great buy if you can persevere with the setup!
- Garmin is one of my favorite brands. When I finally cracked the screen or my Garmin vivoactiv, I was surprised and a little sad that I would have to part ways with a watch I had for nearly 3-4 years. It\'s been through a lot.When shopping for a new watch, all I was looking for were the same features of my old watch with a heart rate monitor available. I was tired of using the cold band for cycling.Watch works as expected and feels like an upgrade to me. Unfortunately the battery drains for me after 3 or 4 days especially if I do an activity.I haven\'t used the music function but I\'m curious about it
- Edit : its been six months now love this baby made my summer so much better with music in the lake floating. This is my first garmin and this week im ordering a bigger one fenix 7 solar. Maib reason is vivoactive 3 music lacks maps, and battery playing music all day will last only about 7 hours. Other than that i love this. 100 percent recomended.So far after 5 days I have at gym with no phone,touchless payments and the rest of goodies. First renewed product I have bought and it looks brand new. Definately recommend. Installing spotify was a bit of a issue till I figure out the proper steps.
