• The value is there, I mean they\'re pretty cheap.However, on the GPSMAP 66i it doesn\'t exactly cover every millimeter of screen, it cover 99%. Its not a touch screen so it doesn\'t matter but i could see some crud accumulation occurring from pocket fuzzies in the corners where the glass doesn\'t fill out the whole way.
• Great screen protector. Inexpensive, fits perfectly and easier to install (with the cover tabs) than any previous screen protector I\'ve ever used.
• Fits great, works as intended. Wish I would have bought this with my GPS.
• Great quality once it is on, but.... As others have pointed out, you must get the top and bottom where they belong. The screen, and the protector, is a slightly different size at the top and bottom so the protector must match the screen. Before taking off the back and exposing the adhesive, place it on the screen correctly to make note of which end goes at the top. If you get it reversed it will not stick. The more difficult thing is once you know top and bottom, be very careful to align the protector with the exact edges of the screen or it will not drop in all the way around. There is absolutely no leeway on space around the edges of the protector. This makes for a perfect fit once it is one correctly, but makes it very hard to get it precisely aligned. If you are even a hairs width away from the edge you align it width, the opposite edge will be held up off the screen and will not adhere. The good thing is that even thought I had to remove and re-adhere a few times, it still went on fine and looks great now. It is also great that two protectors are included. That makes for peace of mind if you don\'t get it right after a few attempts as you know you have a backup waiting. If you get the first one on OK, then it is nice to know the backup is available if you drop the unit or something and the first protectors puts down its life for the 66 screen.
• I purchased a new Garmin 66sr and wanted to protect my screen. I purchased this product to accomplish that. The instructions were fine. There are 2 protective screens included. I cleaned my Garmin screen with the enclosed wipe. By looking at the corners of the Garmin screen and the corners of the protective screen I oriented the protective screen. I took off the backing and proceeded to carefully position the protective screen on the Garmin. As per the instructions, I pressed lightly on the center of the screen area to affix the protective screen to the Garmin. The first protective screen would not adhere fully. There was about a 1/3 of the area that did not adhere. I tried to push out the air underneath to no avail. I took a razor blade and gently lifted an area of the protective screen to try to get the air out from underneath. The protective screen cracked! Well, I have another screen. Short of it is that the same thing happened with the second screen. Now I have a protective screen with a crack on it. Not sure what to do. Not as easy as I thought, though I read many reviews with instructions and tried to be very careful.
• I was prepared to give this a low review the other day, when I received my first order. Shame on me for not reading previous reviews or I would have seen where I was making the mistake. With that being said, this product does what it is suppose to and does work.As stated in a couple of other reviews, the Garmin 66s, st, sr and si series the screen is wider at the bottom than the top! So if you install the screen protector on thinking it\'s uniform in size, you have a 50% chance of getting it wrong and that is what I did with my first order.Where the back tab is to peal off and affix to the Garmin screen, that is the BOTTOM of the screen. So when you peal that tab off, line that end up at the bottom of your Garmin 66 series. It is cut very well, so you don\'t have much room for error (you can peal off and reapply), but if you line it up correctly it will adhere fine.The only recommendation I would have to the company is to specify this in the instructions. I am glad I did find the \"secret\" in the reviews because my second order went on fine and I am happy.
• Repeat purchase. The earlier purchased set did exactly what its intended to do - protect the GPS screen. I use the handheld GPS in the field two of three times a week. The first protector broke when I dropped the GPS on rocks; the second fractured when I was wearing the GPS on my belt and tried to squeeze through a narrow crevice in a rock face. Highly recommend. Do not that the top/bottom corners of the screen differ. Be sure to match the corners of the protector to the screen before mating them.
• These fit perfectly on my Garmin 66i. They fit so well, you wouldn\'t know it was installed without being told. There was no bubbles after installing. They come packaged very well with protective films both front and back which makes installation super simple.The Garmin 66i has larger radius corners at the top, and tighter radius corners at the bottom. Just make sure you are lining it up right. You can \"dry fit\" before taking the film off the back to expose the adhesive.I am particularly impressed with how well made these are. I like they give you two even though I only needed one. Highly recommend!
