- I am disappointing in this watch, especially for the price. I waited until it went on sale, but still paid almost $700.Pros:1) Quickly connects to GPS2) Accurate GPS3) Some people have issues with the heart rate, but I haven\'t had any, my heart rate measures pretty accurately, on a run, during crossfit, on the bike.4) I like not having the touch screen, my vivoactive is a touch screen and it would move from screen to screen during workouts.5) Battery is okay, but would expect more. I used GPS and music for a 40 minute workout in the morning, came home at the end of the day and the charge was at 65%.But.. I am ultimately returning the watch because of a couple of HUGE issues to me:1) I wanted to wear this watch all the time, sleeping, awake. Just take it off to clean it a couple of times a day and shower. A big plus for me was to monitor my day, sleeping, walking, workouts, heart-rate. But after a few days I get a rash where the heart rate sensor is. A rash so bad it takes steroid cream and several weeks of not wearing the watch until I can wear it again. I could tolerate this and only wear it for workouts and be fine, but what\'s the point of spending this kind of money on a watch you can only wear a few hours a day? I can get a vivoactive for less than half the cost and be fine. I have tried everything, from powder to deodorant on the wrist. It is something on the heart rate sensor that has caused this. I have never worn a watch that caused a rash before, so this is a new issue for me. I am afraid that I may be sensitive to certain materials from now on.2) Garmin Connect is HORRIBLE! How has Garmin not fixed this? Watch constantly has trouble connecting to my android, Samsung Galaxy S9. It took 4 hours one time for the watch to finally sync and download a workout. To me this is unacceptable for such an expensive watch. Also, the calories calculated are wacky, one day shows 300 resting calories a day, another day shows 1600 resting calories a day.3) The music skips on my headphones. I don\'t have issues with other devices connecting to these headphones, ipod, another mp3 player. But certain motions and settings cause the music to skip. For a watch this expensive to have these issues is not worth it in my opinion. I am going to return this and wait another year or so and hope Garmin fixes the Connectivity issues and Garmin Connect. I will also wait until they use a different material (if ever) for the heart rate sensor piece.
- Great watch for activities, mapping is nice, good looking, the s is a little smaller, wife loves it.
- I have had this watch for almost a year and finally decided to write my review. It’s reliable. Has great battery life & most importantly I can turn off Bluetooth function. It’s almost always off as I am not interested in getting fried all day for the sake of vanity or curiosity. Stylish & works great! I am no longer a runner. I do Tracy Anderson Method, yoga & dance. It tracks everything well. I mainly needed something quiet to wake only me up not my husband. I also needed it for when I am treating patients at school & clients at work. I needed a timer & think it is not only unprofessional but also inappropriate to take my phone out or receive messages on my watch while with patients or clients.
- Use this for works outs. It’s an upgrade from my vivactive3. I LOVE it. The metrics are wonderful and I find the recovery suggestions helpful. I do t use it for sleep but this thing has everything. I will never own a different watch than Garmin. Customer service is insanely wonderful. Have an issue a two years later, they fix it. I’ll never use another manufacturer . Too watch for running.
- Garmin is amazing. If you ever have an issue they will replace/repair the watch for the life of it. Looks like an expensive jewelry store watch, but yet you can swim/rock climb with it. Fit my wife well - and she wears it every day. Battery life is amazing as well.
- Excelente compra
- Bought this as a birthday present for my wife. Loved the design right out of the box! It’s a sleek and attractive timepiece that promises all sorts of functionality and fitness tracking.Once my wife turned it on and went through the setup, we realized it had a pretty cumbersome interface. It’s not touch screen, so you have to learn what functions each of the five buttons operates. Easy when you have the directions in front of you, but certainly not completely intuitive. The watch also frequently lost connectivity with my wife’s iPhone X. She’d receive some texts on the watch and then they’d quit coming through unexpectedly. We’d confirm connection in the app, but it happened repeatedly. My wife loved the look of the watch and we thought ours may have been defective, so we returned it for a replacement. The replacement came two days ago and we had the same issues. We really wanted this watch to work! Ultimately, however, we ended up returning it and ordered something different.
- Does everything I need it to. I had the Movado fitness watch first which is a lot classier but the battery last less than a day with normal where. This Garmin last weeks.
