Garmin Descent Mk2S, Smaller-Sized Watch-Style Dive Computer with Wearable4U Power Pack Bundle (Mineral Blue with Silicone Band)
- As a casual recreational diver (maybe dive 10-30 times a year, depending on where I vacation), I wanted to buy a dive watch and backup dive computer that wasn\'t a single use product like many options you find on the market. The Descent Mk2S in nothing short of exceptional - the ultimate fitness travel buddy, recording your hikes, runs, dive locations, and stress/energy state, I couldn\'t have asked for more. And as a dive watch, this has beaten pretty much any other dive computer I\'ve seen; depth, NDL, safety stop timing, surface intervals and N2 levels, calorie burn, and qualitative indication of ascent/descent rate - all logged for you to review later. Personally don\'t see the point in getting air integration - I can time my gas usage pretty well without.Lastly - it looks good, particularly if you pair it with a non-black band. The smaller size fits my wrist perfectly (athletic 5\'11\" male), without being bulky as the larger size is, and allows me to wear it daily as an ordinary watch.Only complaint - not the best for multi-day hiking, but I\'m sure there\'s a custom mode for that!
- I was debating buying this when comparing it to the other dive watches as this one is so expensive but after a few dives and a few runs with it, I\'m glad I got it. I can double it as an everyday watch unlike some of the other dive watches and it has all the functions of the smart watch so I can track my runs and pool swims without having to change trackers. The watch is expensive but if you like to dive as well as track all your other fitness workouts then this one is the one to get. one watch to do it all. I really like that it paired easily to my bluetooth headphones and can load music straight from spotify so I can run and have music without having to have my phone bouncing in my pocket. Only catch with this bundle, if you do not have your own regulator set up, a rental shop may not allow you to use the transmitter for safety reasons so unless you have your own or plan on buying your own, there is no need for the transmitter, just us the dive computer on the rig for air consumption. you can input your air consumption on the app after the dive.
- Great Dive computer, incredible add-ins and options with very intuitive interface and controls.I opted for Titanium wrist band and don\'t regret it, it feels good, solid on your wrist and as you have a serious watch worth the money you paid for, not just a smart watch. The wearable4u bundle that comes with it is just crap, its just a marketing tool to help you make a decision which seller to buy from. Don\'t make your decision based on this bundle. I received everything 1 day earlier, all good, nice packaging.
- I have only had the opportunity to dive a couple of times with this. I have not had the opportunity to test the air integration sensor yet. However, the device seems to run flawlessly. It also has all the features of a Garmin Fenix does, which makes it an amazing piece of technology given its size.
- I bought this for diving and it works great. I\'m a new diver and I really like having the digital guages instead of the analog gauges from the training classes. I love the digital dive log, the data I get from those logs and love having the air integration so I get gas consumption rates as I learn how to breathe for best effective while diving. Before I even took it diving, I took it golfing. It was awesome! It had the course readily available, showed me distance to back, middle and front of green, and even counted my strokes for me. As many strokes I require, it was nice having it do this advanced math for me! :-)I am loving this watch/computer and recommend it highly.
- Aside from the awesome dive computer function, this watch is the only one I need for outside adventure!
- Excellent watch! Has full capabilities of Fenix 6. For me, skiing, hiking, and golf capabilities are awesome. Combine that with a top of the line dive computer! Makes this a great watch for any outdoor adventure in or out of the water! Great battery life. When not tracking VO2 max but still monitoring HR, I’m getting 16 days on one charge!! Also, for the smart watch features, I get all my phone notifications, just not able to respond to messages, but I wouldn’t really use the watch for that anyways so not an issue for me.
- Dislike the price but hoped the fitness track features would make up for and I I find they do, inspires me to get out and try more, makes suggestions for lifting exercises plus works as expected for diving, enjoying it. Wish the band didn’t irritate my wrist.
