• This is my second Nuvi GPS. Bottom line is I would not do serious road travel without it, however there are some issues. Garmin needs to update their interface, on the positive side it works very similar to previous models making transitioning to this new one very easy. The negative is that while the software may have been cutting edge a decade ago, its not up to speed these days. Garmin would do well to look at how MapQuest inputs a trip which allows easy adjustments in routes, stops, and alternate routing. While the Garmin does have some flexibility, it can be cumbersome to fine tune or change routing.The stored destinations, like places to shop, also are out dated compared to Google maps, and that is annoying. I found myself using my phone for such things as finding the location of the newest Wal-Mart. The screen, although bright and large, is highly polished and reflective. From a marketing standpoint it sure looks pretty, but in use that glossy screen is reflective. The older Garmins had a matt finish, which I wish they would go back to.A very BIG positive is that the Garmin does not rely on cell towers to navigate. That is a huge reason for using Garmin over a cell phone if traveling in remote areas. Our recent trip took us through vast un-inhabited areas of the South West where there was no cell service, but our Garmin didn\'t miss a beat. It boots up quickly and finds satellites fast. Mine did not come with a printed manual, and a computer interface is an absolute necessity for the initial start-up, instructions, and map loading. The unit will not function at all without first being connected to a computer that has an internet connection.Overall I am happy with my purchase. After daily use, being 6 weeks on the road, it has become a familiar friend, albeit one that has a few bad habits. For sure it is a keeper though. Using it in conjunction with my phone for congested cities makes for a near perfect navigational aid.
• received the unit and, so far, very happy with it. the reason i say \"so far\" and the reason for only \"4 stars\" is that it is a refurbished unit which makes me a bit concerned that i will continue to be happy with it. but, one thing i know for sure--dealing with amazon is the surest way to go. if i have a problem with it in the future i know that i have amazon to back me up.
• It works very good and does what I need it to do. I bought this as a back-up to my regular GPS in case something happened to it. I always keep a spare around. I gave my last back-up away so I needed this. I like it and use a GPS unit everyday for my job. This is a nice unit and I like the glass front.
• Impressed so far. This is my fifth or sixth Garmin GPS and they\'ve been better with every iteration. I love the 6\" screen, mostly because that\'s makes the keyboard bigger and works better for location entry with my fat fingers. Just as important is the faster processor from my 5\" model. (When a recalculation needs to be done to keep you on track, faster is better.) The photo-realistic exchange and lane change images are a huge help.Smartphone navigation has some real advantages but so does a well-designed GPS. Have both, use both
• So far so good. Only used the product 3 times but I like the response time and ease of use. I am a bit concerned of durability as the product is reconditioned (used). Probably should be a 5 star rating but I need more time to evaluate. We\'ll see.
• Great product. Works with Verizon Connect and have been using in our company trucks. Easy to upgrade maps and free!
• This one calculates routes better than the latest model Garmin Smart 60LMT and does not have annoying school and speed limit alert ( every time). The minor issue is this one comes with the glass so it is a little bit reflective during summer.
• This refurbished device is every bit like new and functions beautifully. The only disappointment is that it does not come with the traffic receiver power cord but with a standard power cord. Otherwise I\'m completely satisfied with this device. It\'s everything a new 1 is without the higher cost and I love it. This is my third Garmin and, so far the best.Functions as brand new, great price & quick delivery! I highly recommend this seller and device.
