- This has got to be one of the worst panic buttons imaginable.a) You will not get it to do anything without paying the $2/month fee. Not a big deal if it worked, but it doesn\'t.b) If the user presses the button too long (6 seconds), by design it goes into a 30 minute protection mode to give you a chance to cancel the alarm on the app. Tell me, in what kind of an emergency is it acceptable to wait 30 minutes before notifying the caregiver?c) It just flat out doesn\'t work. I had a career as a software engineer, and we got the crappy software installed and muddled through the awful user interface, paid the upgraded subscription fee, and I still could not get it to reliably send an emergency message when I pushed the button despite being right next to the phone. I got this for my elderly mother-in-law who has a nasty habit of falling down in the bath room. If she pushes the button, she is in a life threatening situation and it needs to work. There is no way I would trust her life to this.d) The user interface is confusing and completely awful. This wouldn\'t be a bid deal if pushing the button sent the message to the contacts, but it will greatly add to your frustration as you realize this is a crap product that you wasted your money on and it will endanger your loved one if you let them attempt to use it.
