GPS Module GPS NEO-6M(Ar duino GPS, Drone Microcontroller GPS Receiver) Compatible with 51 Microcontroller STM32 Ar duino UNO R3 with IPEX Antenna High Sensitivity for Navigation Satellite Positioning
- The accuracy seems to be the usual +- 3m like others. The signal acquisition is lightning fast. It definitely plays the part for my needs. Current on this runs under the stated 50mA so it\'s great for my embedded projects. I think the most it ran on my tests was 38mA max but usually around 30mA.
- I posted the question \"Is there a command to change the update rate from the default, 1hz, to 10hz? The datasheet does not have any comment on it.\" Though English is not my native language, it is still way too hard to understand the reply from the seller \"Hello,you need to setting 10hz does not support all statements. By Deegoo-FPV SELLER on December 1, 2020\"Well, then I reached out to the manufacturer of this module, Beitian, by writing an email. It is a China company located in Shenzhen and their customer service is amazing! One of their engineers taught me how to change the setting from u-center as well as from sending a HEX array to the module to change the update rate and baud rate. I posted an image for the HEX array that works for me. Of course, you need a serial-USB tool to connect the GPS module to your computer if you are not willing to work on it via an Arduino or Raspberry Pi.Now I have this module work under 115200 baud rate and 10hz update rate. Hope it works for you as well. Leave a comment if you still not be able to change it.
- Great product a+
- Never got it to work. I replace a BN 220 with this version. It lights up but Betaflight would not recognize it. I\'ve wired up the other version (GPS Module Receiver,Navigation Satellite Positioning NEO-6M ) and had no issues with it. I put that one in a Matek Wing board because it has wire from the GPS module to the antenna, so not the best fit for a drone. I double checked the directions, desoldered everything and tried it again, but no luck. It lights up and gets power, but is not recognized by the FC. Remove the solder joints for this GPS and soldered another BN 220T to it and all was good. I had higher hopes for his one, especially given the size of the antenna. BTW, this is the second of these I bought. The first I bought I sent back immediately has it shipped with no cables and the antenna looked like it had been scratched. If you have the room, then the better deal is the GPS Module Receiver,Navigation Satellite Positioning NEO-6M version as it has solder pads and actually works.
