- Let me start by saying, prepare to take a whole day off to install this unit. Prepare by watching YouTube videos on the disassembly instructions of your glove box, shifter and half of your dash.Upon opening the box covered in branding of a different language then English, I knew then was going to be challenging.The instructions inside of the packaging were vague and hard to understand. But if you take the time to lay things out and really pin point what goes to what, you will be ok.Total time for install w/ backup camera (6 Hours)Pros:-Screen is fast and the quality of the resolution is 11/10-Screen does not block view of windshield but remains a large beautiful display.-There is a setting you can disable to allow video in motion without needing additional wiring-Wireless and Wired Carplay is a PLUS-Comes with prying tools-Its an android OS so you can put almost any application on it I.E. Netflix or Tiktok.Cons:-You can not see outside Temperate-The back up camera is of horrible quality with no nigh vision (less then standard definition, Buy A HD ones separately)-The volume for the original radio unit does not tie into the new unit thus causing odd imbalances that require you to find a sweet spot in-between them.-The new screen does not show Hvac control display changes you make with the knobs.-Carplay wired or wireless audio has a delay-No external Mic-The module get quite hot (time will tell)-The touchscreen feels just out of reach when driving.-The plastic knob feels cheapI would give the install rating a 4 out of 10 considering not everything was plug and play, and the install looks daunting.A few notes to the next buyer:-The original radio antenna plug is different then the new module. The adapter is not supplied in the packaging. Buy a universal antenna extender from autozone so that you will have the right plug in, cut the wires and tap them to the original radio harness so that both modules can retain signal if needed.-The install manual is wrong with the camera video plug. You have to plug it into the \"Camera\" labeled wire, not the one explained in the picture.-The wire harness that goes from the module to the new screen is barely long enough to reach each other. Run that wire around the right side of the ac vents to meet the perfect length. (you will need something to fish it through)Overall I really like the new radio unit. The install sucked. Big time. But if you can push through it, you will be happy. I am extremely pleased with the responsiveness and clarity of the touchscreen.Overall 8 out of 10.
