Let me mount my favorite phone holder to the new RAM arm!
I needed an adapter for my RAM motorcycle mount which had the large ball (25 mm) and wanted to reduce to the smaller ball (17mm) so I could put a navigation device on that took the smaller ball. This was the perfect solution without having to go buy a whole new mount.
Ended up I ordered wrong type sure would do great job
Works where I needed more strength than just the sticky back of the Nato mount phone magnets. This allowed me to use RAM mounts and still use the Nato mount magnet.
I wanted to use my iOttie wireless car charging holster with my Ram mount, but obviously I needed this to adapt to the different ball sizes. I\'m glad this kind of thing was available! It works perfectly.
Have a RAM phone holder setup but I couldn\'t find MagSafe charger that would fit a 1inch ball. All the MagSafe car chargers including the vent attachment and were reasonably priced. Of course I made the mistake of assuming all the balls are same... THEY ARE NOT.... Most of the cheaper vent attachment car chargers have 0.5 inch female ball adapters, this was what the doctor order, fits perfect with original RAM setup with 1inch ball clamp. Good luck. don\'t get your ball sizes twisted up!
I went with this because the RAM brand ones are like four times more, after two years the RAM brand parts inside the truck still solid but this one turned into rubber and started falling apart but..... so cheap I\'ll probably get 2 now since is just for my phone inside the truck. Just FYI, don\'t trust this to mount equipment that is worth thousands of dollars like a fancy fishfinder etc. that will go plunk down to the bottom of the ocean if this ball mount breaks lol
I bought this to mount my Anker wireless phone cradle to my Ram Mount, and to my surprise it bites better than the ball mount from Anker. I offroad a lot, and whenever I hit a dip or uneven surface that sends my truck vibrating, the factory Anker mount would just bow to the gravity. I even considered getting a new cradle because of this problem.However, after I mounted this to my Anker and my Ram Mount, the bowing problem disappeared. I accidentally caught air in my 4runner, and when I landed this mount stayed exactly where it was despite a pretty harsh landing.Would 100% recommend!
