trigo Bike Alloy Flashlight Adapter for Cateye Volt Flashlight Mount Garmin GPS Bryton Computer Mount
- Works as needed. You need to use a piece from the original cateye mount for those saying ‘it doesn’t fit.’ Maybe not the best value, but if it’s the solution you need, it works great. At least the part is metal, so durability should be good.
- This works great once you put it together. You need to remove and reuse a piece from the Cat Eye handlebar mount. It\'s the plastic piece that the allen wrench is pointing to in the picture here, and it acts an an adapter between the metal bit sold here and the light body itself. The metal bit with the logo gets screwed to that plastic adapter plate from the handlebar mount. They should really include an assembly picture or something in the package. I almost returned this because I\'d forgotten assembly was required and like the unhappy reviewers thought it wasn\'t going to work. Fortunately I looked at the listing again and saw the assembly pictures.
- Part geometry is slightly off and had to flex it to fit. We\'ll see how long the mating part lasts.
- This is great for what i wanted - perfect fit for the volt 1600. Lightweight metal adaptor for GoPro type fitting. Will be using to mount my light under an out-front mount with my garmin above.I’m seeing a few posts that say this doesn’t fit. It does for a cateye volt, but it’s an ADAPTOR. You need to use part of a cateye band on strap (ie the one that came with your light) and attach to this. It’s easy - photos in the listing above show you how. Just unscrew it from the fitting, clip the top piece off (the bit you’re light fits to) and then screw it on to this instead with the provided Allen bolt. Done. Takes 2 mins. If you want to mount this on your bike with the strap sometimes too probably worth buying a second. They’re cheap on here.
- I was using a cheap plastic adapter until last week when it broke off and sent my Cateye Volt 700 onto the chip sealed asphalt at about 35 mph. At the time I didn\'t realize my light was gone and didn\'t see it until I got home when I went to turn it off. By a wild stroke of luck I was able to get the light back when and while a little battered and scraped up it still works fine.So no more plastic. This alloy mount should last a long time and I don\'t have to worry about it breaking. It fit perfectly on my Volt 700. For those saying it doesn\'t fit, I believe Cateye changed the mounts at some point. The Volt 700 is several years old so I think this if for the older mounts only.
- Shipped quick, works great.
- Excellent product. Followed the photo in the listing showing how it goes together and, like another reviewer said, it took two minutes to assemble. Was initially worried that my Volt 300 would be hanging by that single Allen bolt, but the adaptor snapped together with the Cateye base for a very secure mount. Now able to sling the headlight under a BMC ICS setup.Adaptor came packaged in a plastic bag with the Allen bolt and a hex key. There were no (unneeded) instructions.
- The screw connecting the light base to the mount came loose mid ride. I noticed it about half an hour later. Luckily, I was able to trace back my steps and find my light. Total fail. And I did tighten the screw. Not recommended.
