  • Great product. Heavy price tag but does what it does very well. Easy to use, though slightly tricky on your first try. Once I got it going I saw noticeable improvement in my consistency. Initially was at around 94 mph clubhead speed and ended around 104 mph consistently towards the end of my session.Smash factor felt accurate, and I don’t question the speed on club/ball. Roll distance can be fiddled with depending on your tendency, but the carry distance was spot on +-5 yards or so.The gps is wonderful and works really well. Really enjoyed being able to move the pin around on the digital green, and was provided with multiple yardages around the green. (Front, back, center, and pin)Excited to use this indoors during the winter. Overall feels worth 375-400 bucks but hey... I’m happy with my purchase overall.
  • Was questioning my decision to pay this much, wanted the voice caddie, but it was not available so I decided to give this a chance and I\'m so glad that i did. +/- 2yds vs my range finder.I didn\'t have a known distance on many of my clubs. I am 54yrs and i have been a single digit for many years, when measured at golf shops I thought my average speed was around 105 and distance was 280yd. I found out unfortunately that it was not. After a few rounds my driving average was 245yd, and swing speed 97mph. I was still scoring well but I was still a little deflated. I started working out and doing flexibility exercises as well as range work, the launch monitor is amazing the smash factor was key to my success i average 1.41 on smash factor now, swing speed consistently 104-107 mph, driving distance average is 292 on the range. Ive hit it well over 300yds several at times per round and at different elevations and wind conditions. The gps on it plugged in with my averages allows me to play and attack shots with confidence.Only complaint is that it has no memory or record keeping so i have to write everything down to see my progress and get my averages. I wish it had a computer download app so i could track range vs round averages. Hint hintOverall best golf gadget buy of my life.
  • This product provides useful data when you are at the range working on your gapping distances. I really enjoy the different training modes with virtual rounds and target practice. The accuracy seems to be really good with shorter irons and gets a little more questionable on longer clubs like the driver and woods. That being said, I didn\'t buy expecting it to be perfect. My only issue with it is using it as my GPS on the course. I much prefer using the larger and brighter screen on my phone. Also once a scorecard is saved, you can no longer view on the G80, you have to go into the app on your phone anyways.
  • I have played golf for most of my adult life and practice on the range is an important part of the process. For the first time, range time became almost enjoyable as play as i cycles through practice, virtual courses and target practice options. I did all today on the range, and had a fantastic practice session as well as a reasonable workout. I was particularly impressed with the virtual course option. I played 18 holes on the course associated with the range, and the shots and score was spot on with what I have achieved on the course. Using the device, i both practiced the course and got a great workout, while making a variety of shots using every club in the bag other than the putter. And, of course, the device works as advertised when playing an actual game in the course. Terrific product. Very satisfied buyer.
  • I bought this product thinking it was an upgrade compared to the G8, basically a G8 with the radar features.I was WRONG!While it does have GPS and scorecard, it does not really track detailed stats. If you want to use a device to determine your club distances, this isn\'t it. You can measure a shot but it will not tie it to a club. There are Garmin forums where these features have been requested but we don\'t know if they will be implemented. That being said, this device is great for the range with the radar functions. If I would have known this is what this devices primary function was, I would have gone with the G8 and waited on a more detailed launch monitor. While at the range, it keeps me focused on practicing my shots, aiming for distances and consistency more than just whacking a few balls out there. The virtual round piece has me using different clubs and trying to improve distance accuracy. For this purpose the device is great!Another feature that is sorely missing is the tracking of the radar data. It would be nice to have it where I tell it that I am hitting my driver and it stores the data for that club so I can do a better job evaluating what I did at the range. This feature should be for both the GPS and radar side and it isn\'t.I have not had any over heating issues like others and I have been out to the range on some very hot days. I do not sit it in direct sunlight so that may help. After all of this, I will probably keep the device for when I set up a net in the back yard. I will use the GPS on the course and basic scorecard because even in the scorecard it is very basic, doesn\'t allow to add penalties, just score and putts.
  • I liked all the feature s that came with it and I like the screen resolution . I am still getting use to using the device and while it is better than my old Garmin that stopped working, some features I do not like. On my old Garmin I was to track my statistics for me and not worry about other golfer but on the new device once I turn on track stats it does it for all the golfers on the my scorecard feature. I also do not like that I cannot view my most recent scorecard once I end the round. Quite annoying . To view the scorecard after ending a round I have to the Garmin app on my smartphone. Overall I am satisfied with the device.
