  • I use this to power my RV GPS. My RV does not have a cigarette adapter, so this is an excellent solution.
  • Having the ability to charge the unit using AC makes inputting trips convenient
  • Just what I needed for my garmin.
  • Works quite well with my Garmin 890
  • I had to get this for a Garmin RV 890 because the original one (which came with the $4-500 GPS) failed due to it being the cheapest piece of junk I ever saw - and because you can’t charge the RV 890 through its USB port. Way to stick it to your customers Garmin! The charger does work to charge the 890, so there is that.
  • This Garmin AC Adapter for the Kit works perfectly, however, the USB Data Cable between the device and computer does not fit in back of the Garmin Drive Smart 61. I ordered this kit specifically for the DATA cable part, now I will have to order a proper USB cable. The Amazon advertisement, specifically says this kit is compatible with the Drive Smart 61 LMT-S, however, when you read the BOX itself, is says fits SOME Garmin devices. The Box does not give ONE model name of a Garmin device, it is either compatible with or not compatible. In my eyes, this is deceiving for the consumer. The Advertisement should be proven before it is published online. My other complaint, is TRY TO FIND a USB data cable specifically for the Drive Smart 61, it is difficult to find, now I\'m not sure who to trust and not waste my money. I can still use the AC adaptor portion as a backup. I will be leaving town soon, and now I don\'t have time to reorder, and do not have a way to update my maps on my laptop. I do not trust Wifi in motels, and will NOT attempt to Update my maps from the Garmin Update option, using motel Wifi on the road... I don\'t usually have problems with Amazon orders, a rare event, but this product with its contents, WAS NOT TESTED on a Garmin Drive Smart 61, using the USB Data cable.

  • The OEM correct factory match for the 5 inch Garmin Nuvi GPS product. This completes the accessory pack that Garmin left out. The two included cables are longer than the \"shorties\" provided with new GPS units, and the AC adapter outputs the higher charge current that the Garmin requires for non PC or non USB port charging. Only one of the two cables will match the GPS connector, the other cable goes in your junk box! The only downside to this set is that the AC adapter has a larger-than-convenient physical profile when assembled for use, that is, the wall plug pins slide into (dock) the AC adapter body, but don\'t fold down when not in use. Would be ideal if the plug pins flipped back into the AC adapter housing (like the I-pad and Kindle adapters). This makes the adapter more difficult to store in a travel pouch or clam shell case.
