- This purchase was worth it
- Pros:-Display is bright and easy to see in any situation-Display mounting is very secure, zero wiggle or play in the mounting solution.-Display is highly adjustable up-down-Software responsiveness is incomparable to most top brand head units-Audio DSP functionality while featuring some incorrect terminology has plenty of finite adjustability.-Carplay phonecalls seem to work quite well.Cons:-Non-carplay basic Bluetooth phone calls are barely passable as functional- audio capture really struggles. I believe the microphone input sensitivity is too low, I requested support for firmware updates to allow adjustability but they seemed uninterested.-Sometimes the bluetooth phonecall interface takes priority over the carplay interface. If you enter the car during an existing phonecall, carplay will not connect and handle the phonecall. Carplay phone calls can only be placed/answered after carplay connection is initialized-Display cannot be tilted to face upward/downward to compensate for a slanted-faced dash.-Reverse camera takes many seconds to display when first starting the car and shifting to reverse, not a deal breaker though.-Software interface still feels like an Android tablet rather than what a head unit interface should feel like. Some UI features of Android OS are not best suited for the dashboard and Joyingauto does not seem to be doing much about it.I appreciate that units like these exist that the mainstream brand names don\'t seem to bother doing. This unit is sized and shaped well for many older/classic/sports cars/and other cars with single din dash openings that could benefit from modern stereo features.What\'s unfortunate is how impressive these chinese android head units have become but still have some pretty unfortunate shortcomings. I have toyed with these android head units for several years now and while they are making impressive improvements throughout, the interfaces could really need some help and some better english translation. As of January 2022, head units from BOSS and SSL seem to be a better well-rounded product in this bracket that also feature wireless carplay and android auto functionality at a decent price.
- Fits the S2000 well. Essentially a plug and play system; however you\'d need to purchase the \"Honda\" Wire from the Manufacture website. When installing you can either run it using ball magnets to hold it in place or just use the mounts provided in the kit. I went with the mounts after struggling to keep the screen in place while driving in canyons.Only thing I took a star away from is, if you connect via USB in the back of the unit as a power source (Dash cam); it causes power to stay on.Overall, great unit Bluetooth Apple Car play is awesome.
- This units awesome. I used it in a japanese 1998 subaru impreza sti. Wiring was easy when paired with a wiring harness adapter for a subaru, just matched the wires up and soldered them together. Was able to use a non joying back up camera in it also even though the listing claimed it required a joying ahd camera. I struggled with the sub output at first as it wasnt powering my sub enough, but after contacting joying I was able to get it solved. For a sub/amp that has a dual rca input you have to use the headunits fr and fl output instead of using a y connector to the headunits sub output.Android auto is great on this unit. Using the carlink app thats preloaded it can do wired or wireless android auto, only downside is both leave a large blank space to the side of the android auto interface. I fixed this by downloading another app called headunit reloaded onto this headunit. Since its an adroid headunit you can get regular apps from the app store. With head unit reloaded i can use the full widescreen and even have got it setup so it will do the android auto split screen, so now i can have a more detailed view of my music and google maps running on one screen. All together its a great headunit and im very happy i got it.
- This is an awesome buy for any car. I do have a bit of dislikes, first is that it only has on rca pre out for a sub, this forces you to buy a y splitter and sacrifices a bit of sound quality. Second is the amount of work it takes to set up your preferences and how the navigation is barely audible with the music on even though it lowers the music when it gives directions. Other than that it\'s awesome!
- If you are not a professional installer experienced with this radio, you are in for many wasted hours, nights, week ends. etc. No support. No instructions. There are so many settings. It is unfathomable how in this age of technology a product like this can exist. I am 4 months in, still poor GPS, black screen reversing camera, and no working radio controls and then there is the DOT. A frigging menu shortcut that sits on the screen, and blocks your ability to hit critical buttons. Touch the dot and it opens a menu, or replicates. Now you have two dots, three dots, etc. Also, sun hits this screen, and its totally useless. Can not see a single thing.Volume adjust is a nightmare. Takes your eyes of the road for 3 clicks to change the volume.Quality of sound is poor. Lots of clipping. Had to install amps to get the sound useable.I should have purchased a quality name brand unit.
