- I decided to go for the 2014 Outlander that I could pay cash for instead of the 2019 model that, well, I\'d have to get a second job to pay for.. but I\'d fallen for the thought of Android Auto. Well, this unit does it better than the 2019 I drove. I don\'t think I really grokked the process, to replace the stock unit, but it was super duper easy. You get the tools you need with the kit. And it\'s amazing to replace this huge, heavy, dense brick of a head with this low-profile lightweight unit. I mean, heck, .. with the room saved in the dash, I\'m thinking of building in some kind of cubby or cooler..The thing has a ton of hidden menus that let you customize things about the car. Most of them would\'ve been available with the stock unit, but I don\'t think all were.. I like that you can set the LED light colour for the \'buttons\' on the left of the screen. Soooo many options. You can see that I customized the frame with some hammered green spray paint. Oh, yeah.I got a separate wireless adapter that plugs into one of the usb dongles on this unit, and lets you use Android Auto, well, wirelessly. Otherwise, you need to plug your phone in for that to work.In the spirit of fairness, since I really do like this unit (and amazing to get all this for the price!) ..two kinda big downsides (but totally live-withable)1) despite there being a setting in there for a default system-on volume, the unit will always start at half-volume (which can be quite loud) .. whichever volume level you\'ve set in the menu as the system-on volume will only take effect *after* you manually turn the volume up or down (so you set the on volume to a nice low level, like 8. You turn on the car, whammmm.. loud music. you press to turn it down, and it\'s like it got muted. anyway. only an issue when first starting the car.2) .. and this might be a deal breaker if you spend most of your time driving in reverse.. the aiming marker lines for the backup camera aren\'t there anymore. this thing just pipes in the video feed with no overlay. you can still see out, and the camera image is almost too big for the low-res feed.other than that, this thing is truly amazing.(gratuitous cute bunny photo included at no charge)
- I took a gamble on this head unit, hoping it would work out. Now I\'m glad that I did. For the price, you\'re not going to find anything better! You will have to do irreversible modifications to your Civic to make everything fit properly, but you will never want to reverse it anyways lol. The only thing that I don\'t like at the moment is that you can\'t turn off the beep when you touch it. Hopefully it holds up over time.
- This was very simple to install. Came with all of the wiring needed. I wish they would give instructions on removal and installation, but a quick youtube search and I found how to do it with 6 screws.Pros:-Looks great-Sounds Great-Apple CarPlay works perfect-Install is pretty straightforwardCons:-Didn\'t fit exactly right so had to use pliers to break a small bit of plastic for the fit-Doesn\'t come with install instructions so had to look those up myself
- It is not mindbending or gamebreaking. Just a regular 9 inch tablet that serves as a radio. Everything that comes AROUND the radio is awesome, the quality of the material is superb, the cables are compatible with the car\'s oem cables. The only disappointing thing is the radio itself. Its slugish, pretty much incompatible with android auto and a bit expensive for what it gives. You\'re better off buying the plastic trim alone, cheaper and then get a different radio. Or maybe get this and then upgrade later, though the price makes it a questionable choice.

- The actual unit is nice and works well. Unfortunately the install and technical issues are the reason I did not give it five stars. It is not fully compatible in a plug-in play sense. I had mine professionally installed and the technicians at the shop had to spend several hours trying to figure it out. They had to remove the unit several times, rewire things, and adjust the settings multiple times to get it working appropriately., The company needs to fix these issues if they intend to keep selling this and advertising at the way they do.
- The names in the cables don’t match so it’s confusing i had several issue but every time i send an email i have an answer that’s why i give 5 stars.Try to explain more for the customers.I’m happy
- The electronics work well, but the faceplate I had difficult installing. The 9\" screen is so large that one of the screws holding the air conditioning is absent, but that does not prohibit installation. The problem is that part of the electronics frame hit the existing plastic that caused the faceplate to not seat correctly. I had to use an oscillating saw to cut away part of the side of the plastic to get the unit to seat properly. I would have rated this unit higher except for this. The company has been very good at communication and helping me to solve the problems in installation. But in the end the unit need better installation instructions.
