I have a 2019 Jeep Wrangler and installed the mount from this company. It works well but I had 2 units with the rubber holding the phone ripping right where the rubber meets the plastic part of the mount attached to dash mount. I asked for a replacement and the company responded quickly with a new mount arriving the very next day.I would defiantly buy this again just with an extra mount.
I bought this to replace an original piece. It was a bit different from the original piece but still works fine. Only thing was that the ball screw was smaller than the first one was, so it was a bit harder to make fit into the original base.
Worked well but one of the rubber tabs split after a little more than a year of use.
Was able to replace broken part of phone holder. Less expensive than starting over with new phone holder.
I like the idea of the Rugged Ridge product being \"rugged\", but this is the third time replacing the phone holder part. That being said, it was WAYYYYY easier to just buy the broken part from this seller, who did a fantastic job getting it to me quickly, than it was trying to get warranty to replace the part directly from the manufacturer. Next time it breaks, I\'ll probably look to other brands for a replacement.
Had to buy a replacement holder piece after yrs of wear and tear. It held my phone on many off-roading trips with out problems. Highly recommend this brand. Using my replacement piece for a month now and no problems.
The idea is great. However the construction of the mounting unit itself needs more attention. If you have a phone with a protective case, it will more than likely bounce out of the spring held grips. Have multiple re-fitments of your phone, the tabs will break rendering this useless. Yes, you can order it again and replace, or modify it to hold phones with protective cases.
This was a great option for my Jeep. While I had a cell phone mount installed, it was getting broken by the seat being moved up to get into the back seat. This was solved with this mount.
