- Love the product. Comes with spare screws and nuts. I used a set to mount my radio to the metal plate. 1. I drilled a hole into the (top of) plastic clip, 2. srew the clip to the metal plate, 3. screw the radio and clip back together w/plate attached to clip. I used the top holes to screw into the top of the clip to prevent any cracking or worse.. breaking the clip while tightening. I gave it 4 stars because I\'m sure the plastic fasteners will always come loose which eventually will become annoying. The end.
- Nice design, pretty flimsy
- The unit (so far) seems to be pretty good, but I\'m concerned about the quality over time. Disappointed that it is mostly plastic (except for the metal mounting plate), neither piece has any Lido identification, any type of instruction sheet or even a warr/quar card. Made in China ? Can\'t tell.
- In the advertising picture they show a handheld and mic hanging off the mounting bracket. In real life that wont work for two reasons. One is the bracket is slick and the radio tends to fall off of it. You\'ll need to fashion some type of mount to the bracket to clip your radio onto. Two, the weight of the radio pulls down the bracket and I could never get it tight enough to stay level. I tried it with my anytone 878 with the extended battery for reference. I ended up ditching this mount for another solution. I can see this working for other people or use cases but for me it wasn\'t a great buy.
- I didn\'t want to mount a bulky center console with things that I don\'t use. I came across this item and it was what I had been looking for. Everything seems to stay nice and snug. I will say that the actual mount that holds your radio and mic does move around a bit, but not too much. It works for what I do. I use it in my car. Now if you have a Jeep, Truck, or any type of off road vehicle that you intend on using this with to support your radio then you will probably get too much movement. But if you have a car you want to throw a radio in it is a good little item.
- Works as expected, plate that radio and Mike goes on should be lockable or in fixed position as the weight of the radio will cause it to lean to that side
- My HT used to slide around in the passenger seat. Or be in a bag where I couldn’t always hear. Now it stays where I need it. Using a speaker mike is so easy. I wish I had found this product years ago.
- Overall it is a nice item. My main complaint is the cross bar the radio clips to. The bar is attached to a ball joint. If you put the radio out near the end where it is supposed to go the bar tilts in the direction of the radio. Putting the radio towards the middle near the ball joint seems to solve this
