- This thing is the real deal. It works right out of the box with minimal setup. One of the best products from a reliability and dependaility standpoint. Very well built also. It comes in very handy when executing the verify part of trust or if you just don\'t trust them at all. Also great for peace of mind on cars, boats, motorcycles or any other valuable that could wander off.One BIG reqest to the app developers: PUT THE PHONE\'S CURRENT LOCATION ON THE MAP WITH THE LOCATION OF THE GPS. When the GPS is moving and you\'re trying to drive and track it, it is very dangerous the way it is set up--having to flip between two apps that have half the needed info (where am I and where is the gps).
- We purchased this product along with the magnetic watertight enclosure for vehicle asset tracking. It exceeded my expectations. It was magnetized to the side of the frame behind the rear bumper.The PROS- Good web interface and iOS native app- Incredible battery life. Got 11 days of stop and go (vehicle parked at night, stopped for several hours during the day). Very impressive. It\'s \"smart sleep\" mode really works (goes to sleep when it\'s not moving and wakes up and starts sending cellular signals once it moves). That strategy seems to work well.- 1 minute intervals is perfect- No contract or commitment. $20/month with month to month on/off.- Very flexible and useful alerting (email, SMS, push notifications on phone and browser)- Compact, good form factor, good water tight magnetic case for under vehicle placement (sold separately).- Good cellular connectivity. We\'re in a pretty populated area, but it never went off the map or lost connection.- Zone alert (geo fencing) worked perfectly when vehicle in and out of HQ area.- The speed limit feature worked (and we caught our driver doing over 90 mph on the highway).The CONS- The app doesn\'t show battery life. You have to use the web browser to see battery.- Web app a little clunky, too many clicks/touches to go back and forth between maps and trips and having to re-select the date every time.- Quite a few false positives saying a trip was started when one was not. But it seems to later flatten the data and correct them. So I would get 3 different \"trip started\" notifications, but later look back at trips and see there was only 1. It also gets confused sometimes at stop lights, thinking a trip has ended, but only a couple times.- GPS projection on the map was sometimes a ways off. I know some of this is inherent to GPS. Overall it was good, but sometimes, we were trying to locate our vehicle in a large lot and it was showing the map dot in the woods behind the lot when it was really several rows into the lot.- Wish I could un/subscribe to the monthly cellular plan right in the app instead of having to log into the web site. More flexible to turn it on/off month by month as needed.- The speed limit alert is not always accurate. It did catch the driver over 75 couple times, and one time the driver admitted to going over 91 mph. However, it also alerted that the driver went 110 mph and I truly believe the driver that they did not go that fast. So hard to rely on as a forensic/disciplinary tool.- $20/mo is not cheap but reasonable. I just wish I could get more, but can\'t afford $20/mo for each device. I also wish they prorated (vs paying for whole months).
- This product does the job, but not well. Not the product I was hoping for.. nice, very compact size but it doesn\'t show real-time location. It updates every minute. You can get far in one minute. Doesn\'t help if your vehicle is moving at freeway speeds. And doesn\'t help in something like a residential area where there\'s a lot of turns. You have to try and predict which way the vehicle will turn next because when you get close, it is now blocks away in a whole different direction within that minute gap. I like it, but I mostly don\'t. Not worth the subscription and I will be returning it once I find something that tracks your location like a navigation system or a cell phone does. REAL-time and moving WITH the subject. And then sometimes, for some reason it stops working. I wish they had a manual update button like your internet browser does. Currently I am trying to track down my car and the damn thing hasn\'t updated in 3 hours!! Horrible, and unacceptable with today\'s technology. Charged it fully last night and as of 3 hours ago it was at 70%, it\'s 9pm right now. The app is updated to it\'s latest version so there is no reason this thing shouldn\'t be updating. I am very disappointed in this product but it\'s better than nothing at all.UPDATE 8/3/18I reached out the manufacturer. Customer service is great so I\'m adding a star. They offered to give me 2 free months of service and updates every 30 sec instead of every minute. 30 sec definitely makes a difference but it\'s still not what I expected when I purchased this device. So I\'m going to just install a tracker app on the phone of the person I let use my car, that way I\'ll see every turn as it\'s happening should I ever need to go after it again. True \"real-time\" updates... and i suppose I\'ll just keep this as a backup option.
