Car Radio for Toyota Tacoma 2005-2015 Built-in carplay Android Anto,9 inch Android 12 Car Stereo Head Unit 2G RAM 32GROM with DSP WiFi GPS Navigation Bluetooth Steering Wheel Control
- I recently bought this stereo for a 2006 Honda Civic Hybrid. It is a decent, full-featured, entry-level Android car radio that delivers as expected for its price point. It was relatively easy to install, and the supplied connectors worked correctly out of the box, although the supplied (and required) bezel is missing a spot for the passenger airbag indicator. This stereo takes about 40 seconds to boot from ignition on to fully ready (pretty typical), and when turning the car off, it stays in standby for 15-45 seconds before shutting down (wish it was more like 15 minutes!). During this time, restoring power immediately brings the stereo back to what it was doing before. After a full power cycle, while it remembers what apps were open and reopens them in the background, it always turns itself on and boots back to the desktop, and you have to manually start the Bluetooth app to connect to your phone, or manually switch back to any app you previously had open. It does remember all of your settings (DSP settings, saved WiFi hotspots, Android preferences, installed apps, app preferences and data) across reboots. This stereo runs Android 10 and has the Google Play Store already loaded, so you can install and run pretty much any Android app. However, it only has 2GB of RAM and an average CPU, so don\'t expect a premium, fast Samsung tablet-type experience. This is especially noticeable when starting Google Maps; it is quite slow and jittery to get started, but once navigation is underway, it smooths out and works nicely. It also includes an offline navigation app (great if you get lost in a no-signal area, or can\'t tether with your phone), and the Chrome web browser, which you can use to play streaming radio online (if you\'re tethering with your phone). On paper, it has a low-resolution display, but in practice, it is quite adequate and looks good. It does not get dim enough at night; in fact, I wish the low brightness setting went all the way down to 15% of its maximum brightness (I estimate it currently goes down to about 50%). You can pull down the semi-transparent Android notification menu to darken the screen by another 50% to about 25%. There is also a \"sun\" icon you can tap to turn the display off completely. Mind you, it turns right back on if you adjust the volume. Brightness during the day is fair, and it dims automatically—following the headlights, not the dashboard dimming setting. It has excellent touch response, responding well to both light and forceful touches.Despite being small and thin, this stereo has plenty of audio power and a nice DSP. After appropriate EQ settings have been dialed in, the sound quality out of the stock Honda speakers is good, with an impressive 30-17kHz frequency response—a significant improvement over the factory radio! The photos attached to this review show the EQ settings I came up with, as well as the SWC function, which allows you to assign the steering wheel buttons to various functions on the stereo. There are cables included for two USB ports. This can come in handy for bringing along a music and/or video library. It also has video cables for a rear camera and for video out to additional displays if you wanted to have its display mirrored to rear seats for entertainment. All in all, this stereo provides great value and lots of functionality at its price point.
- I am extremely satisfied with this product. It was super easy to install, looks amazing in my 2010 Yoda. Bluetooth works great and I just mobile Hotspot for Wi-Fi YouTube and other platforms.
- Keeping my evaluation and comments in line with the price; I think this unit is a tremendous value. If it was 4 times the price, I wouldn\'t rate it as high. But for the selling price, in my mind it is a fairly solid performer and a 5 star value.I purchased my Tacoma new in 2014. The factory radio seemed to be the \"oldest\" part of the truck. Nothing seems to age like an old radio. I installed this new Android unit (along with some quality LED headlights) and now my truck seems much closer to the late model trucks (my 2014 only has 70k miles, which helps too).I did have to reach out to support for a couple of questions and configuration items. Support was by email - and with the time zone offsets, responses were usually the next day for me. But the quality of support I received was top-notch! And several days later I would receive follow-up emails from support to make sure everything is working correctly and that I was satisfied with their support and product. Wow!To me, the biggest drawback is that the screen it too bright at night. But there is an easy workaround as you can drag down from the top of the screen and it is like pulling down a window shade - which dims the display instantly. There is also a nighttime icon that if tapped will instantly turn off the screen (easily turned back on with a single tap). I know there are units out there that will go far dimmer - but they are pricey. Any other drawbacks I\'ve noticed are really minor, and would seem nit-picky to even mention. One final comment - this unit really is plug-n-play. Just make sure that all cables are connected as designed. You can\'t go wrong with this unit!
- No me gusta pir q no viene con instrucciones para instalar la camara de reversa ni los controles del bolante y no funciona estas dos
- I’ll update in a few weeks . It’s Great so far.
- Touchscreen works great, unit loads nearly instantly when powered on.The only complaint I have is the dash kit that it’s not a very secure way of mounting it, it’s held in by 4 clips they seem to pop out very easily.
- Easy install. Works great when it works. About 20% of the time it want boot up. I have to pull it and unplug it. Then it boots up and I have to reset the time, etc. I have contacted this company in the last 2 days, several times, with no response. I’m trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, but no response. Amazon is willing to take it back for full refund, but that leaves me out of luck. If the company will contact me, I might be able to change this review.
- This is a simple plug and play, easy to install upgrade from a factory radio. Finish is perfect, fits right in place of OE radio. Touch screen comes with a screen protector.
