  • Very easy to get started and use. don’t really know the accuracy yet, only used it on a few rounds, but good so far. Looks great and is just the right size. Most other Garmins are larger and while they offer more features, they really are too big, at least for me. All good so far.
  • I\'ve had the previous model for several years and one inconvenient feature was when you search for a golf course and it came up several minutes later, if you didn\'t act on it then, it reset itself and you had to start all over again. Very inconvenient. The new model stays on the found course until you confirm it, so much better. It is more difficult to navigate such as changing holes (which you need to do often) or looking for hazard information. It\'s also best to set the time allowing the GPS satellite to do that for you, otherwise if set manually, it will be wrong the next day. All in all a great improvement and a good buy.
  • Bought this about one year ago, but I did not use it for the last 3 months. Took it out today and its dead, and wont charge.It had good batt life while it lasted and was accurate.Update - I changed my rating to a 4 from a 1 because I found this reset instruction:How to Reset an Approach G12 or S12Press and hold the Power.Wait up to 30 seconds until device powers on/off.Release the Power.Now it appears to be back to normal.
  • I got the S12 and played my first round with it a few days later. It is by far the best golf accessory I\'ve got. It replaces every app, range finder or sprinkler head you may be using to establish distances on the course, and it keeps score simply with no need to type something in on your phone or use a pencil.As a course management tool it is just fantastic. I can\'t enough good things about it.It is very light, the band is comfortable and I can replace the band with any 20mm watch strap I want since its a traditional lug design.All in all I\'m a huge fan of it. Get one.
  • Take a few rounds to get the hang of all the features. Very enjoyable
  • Basic watch, but great battery life (I\'ve played 5 rounds and it is still half charged), gives front and back and middle of green. Slim and not bulky. Only criticism is it is sometimes slow to connect to a course, though not sure other watches do it faster.
  • I recently moved and am stuck living out of boxes. I could not find my old gps watch and decided to buy another one. This watch is very light weight, so you sometimes forget you are wearing it. It is very easy to use and locks in on a new course very quickly. The accuracy appears to be the same as my old one, and is usually the same or within a yard of the gps on the cart on courses that have them. This also allows me to keep my score, and save it as well. Other features include distances to hazards and bunkers, shot distance measuring, and a cool sunrise and sunset reader [which helps when you\'re trying to calculate whether you have enough time for one more hole!]What impresses me the most is the length of a charge. On my old gps watch I was able to get two rounds in before recharging, but with this one it barely moved after several rounds! I have read that it can go 30 hours in gps mode before it needs recharging.I would highly recommend this product.
  • I debated for a while on which garmin golf watch to get and ultimately decided to go simple. It was a great decision, this watch is so easy to use on the course and doesn’t distract from the game with notifications and time needed to work it. No problems with it ever, it just works. It’s really helped me figure out my club distances and I won’t go golfing without it now. I also wear it as a daily watch when I just need to know the time. The blue color looks really good. Battery is great too, can easily last multiple rounds and will last weeks when not using it for golfing.
