- Before I get Chipolo, I already tried apple AirTag and Tile. Of course AirTag not work with android phones , I returned same day. Tile worked only one day with no problem, next day it started loosing connection and end of the day completely lost it, I tried factory reset and reinstalled app , nothing helped, finally Tile went to return like AirTag. I have a Chipolo about a week right now and it works both ways phone to Chipolo and Chipolo to phone with no issues. Don’t expect gps real time location from Chipolo, it is not gps device, it is Bluetooth , it is work perfect when you lost your key or phone at home, yard or car , it will show on the map where you left Chipolo , but again it is not gps device, if someone take it you not able to track the Chipolo in real time. So I keep Chipolo, it works for my needs , when I can’t find my key or phone in garage or under the blanket on the couch, it is playing really loud music and here they are.
- This tracker is great, while I have some complaints about the alerts not letting you know soon enough if an item is left behind because of the range / time (you could be a block away before you know and need to turn back) that\'s acceptable because I understand that is a limit of technology right now the precision required would be too great. I wouldn\'t dock stars for that. My issue is that the alert only works one way, if you walk away from your item, not if your item walks away from you. it would be nice if you could have one alert if you leave your item behind and an alert if someone tries to take your item. I was really hoping I would be able to worry less about my bag being taken at work since there is really no where secure to put it it\'s just out in the open. But the tracker only works if you leave your bag not if your bag leaves you. Would be a feature they could easily add and make optional.Other than that, the product seems great. I love that you can share your device with friends to make searching for your lost item easier. I shared my device with a friend and it was funny they were disconnected when they left my house one night and just driving by my work on the highway they were able to \"find my device\" when they got home and looked out of curiosity. The highway isn\'t even that close to my building, means the range is pretty far and it\'s nice if something is loss the ping time is quick enough you could drive by looking for your item and potentially have it put on the map to find it. Many times reviewers depend on the community and say it\'s not large enough but they never review how easy it would be just using your phone searching a general area with friends like that. I thought it was cool. The device rings loudly too which is great even in a bag.
- Easy to configure and set up, it is louder enough to caught our attention but not enough to drive us crazy. It has a comfortable size and we are very pleased with it. As you can see im not reviewing upon arrival, wanted to give it some time and is still working wonderfully. Might buy a whole set of them soon.
- Product was exactly as advertised but two of the units quit working within two weeks. After some emails, they implied a battery issue. Sure enough, the batteries on these two were drained - the other three are still running well, even the one on our dog. I will see if these actually were old/poor batteries or if the units just drain them far faster than they claim.

- A crucial advertised feature, \"notify when out of range,\" doesn\'t work well enough for it to be useful. When the bluetooth connection is disconnected between wallet card and your phone, the app knows it immediately. So the great thing would be for it to tell you this, so you\'ll know you dropped your wallet somewhe or left it home as you walk to your car.You can turn on notification of this so you\'ll be alerted. But when I tested this it would never notify me. I check the app, it says disconnected, so why won\'t it just alert me? I checked Chipolo\'s support page. It says it doesn\'t notify right away because they don\'t want to bother you with false alerts if you still have your wallet but got disconnected for some other reason. It says it\'ll notify you eventually.This is terrible policy. I\'m trying to protect the contents of my WALLET. ID, credit cards, cash, etc. If someone else gets to this wallet before I get back to it, I\'m screwed. I rather be \"bothered\" occassionally, falsely, because it lost connection. I can just check my pocket, see I still have it, and ignore the alert.So when will it evetually notify? I drove a half mile away and parked and I sat there for a half hour waiting for it to alert me, it didn\'t so I drove home. The app knows where it was last seen, it knows I just moved away from that location, it\'s not like I\'m still in the same location it was last seen. It shows where I am on the map, where it is. But no, still no alert. This is the one feature they have to set them aside from Apple, that doesn\'t have a wallet tracker, and Tile, that does but charges a monthly fee for that feature... and Chipolo blew it. How about an additional slider that says notify me no matter what, and explain it will occasionally give false alerts?
- I am a big fan of Chipolo overall. My husband loses EVERYTHING so I have put Chipolos on and in LOTS of things that he uses. Since 2019 when I bought our first card, the longest they have lasted is 6 months. The card has to be replaced, you can\'t just change the battery in it like the other Chipolos. They have an exchange/renew program for the card wherein you can buy another one for half price (plus shipping) and send your dead Chipolo back but it is not nearly as fast as just buying another one and getting it in 1-2 days from Amazon (remember, my husband loses things so he needs a working tracker at all times).As a tracker, it works great but if you can handle a little bit thicker tracker in your wallet, skip the card and go with the other options that allow you to change the battery!
