  • Someone tried to break into my Hyundai the other day so I ordered this asap overnight and activated it today. Have never had any device like this before. It was very simple to activate and set up the app. No hassle whatsoever other than finding a good hiding spot for it in my car.So far it\'s working great when I tested driving to the grocery store. Right now, it\'s showing the dot for my car on the map about 10-12 feet from where my car is parked in the lot at my apartment, so it\'s not 100% exact, but plenty accurate if someone steals the car the police will know where to look. The app is really straightforward and easy to use. I haven\'t tried logging into their site on my PC yet, but have been using the app on my Android phone.Here\'s the options in the app:1) Can quickly set a fence around your car, just tap the Fence button to automatically create a fence when you park and it\'ll notify you if the car moves out of the area.2) App lets you share your location with anyone, so if my car breaks down or I\'m in an emergency, it\'ll be useful to quickly send my location to a family member. Was able to send a link through SMS to my sister and it links her to a map with the GPS device name and location shown.3) You can turn the LED light on or off through the app so it won\'t give away where you hid it in the car.4) It has an Energy Saver mode that you can set from the app to change the updates to every:30 min (10-15 day battery life),1 hour (15-30 day battery life),2 hours (1-1.5 months battery life),4 hours (1.5-2.5 months battery life),6 hours (2-3 months battery life),12 hours (3-4 months battery life), or24 hours (4-6 months battery life)I noticed there\'s an option in the settings that let\'s you select \"Do not show low battery warning\", so I\'m assuming it\'ll notify me if the battery is low so I can remember to re-charge it?EDIT: Yes, it warns you when the battery is low. It will give you this message: \"One of your devices has a battery level of 20% or lower. If your device is set to update every 10 seconds or faster, it is now in power conserve mode and will update every 30 seconds.\"5) There\'s a History button in the app that lets you review where the car/device has been. You can select Today or Yesterday from the quick drop-down menu, or select a specific date from the calendar.6) There\'s a whole section of instructional videos inside the app and a FAQ section which are both helpful if you need it. However, it was super straightforward to set up so I didn\'t need to use those.7) In the settings you can change the map type between a regular google map or satellite view map. If you change the map type, it seems to delete the fence you set. But it only takes half a sec to tap the Fence button again and reset it. Might be a minor annoyance if you have a whole lot of devices and are switching between map types frequently?8) The time zone seems to have been automatically set to US Central time, so you may need to go into the settings and change it. But, even though I changed the time zone to be correct, it\'s still showing the alert on my phone with a timestamp in CST when I drive the car out of the fence.EDIT: I contacted customer service and they were able to fix this for me so time zone shows correctly now. However, due to a recent update of their app, it stopped showing fence notifications for me completely unless I had the app open constantly. Turns out it was because I\'m unable to upgrade to Android 12 on my phone model, but they were still very helpful and patient and able to find a solution for me. So now it\'s working again just fine. They had set it up so it would send me an email notification instead, but whatever they did also magically fixed the regular app notifications somehow. So if you have any issues, they seem willing and able to help or a work-around if possible.9) You can rename each GPS device if you have more than one so you know which one is in which car, etc.10) You can change the icon type and icon color that shows on the map for each device! There\'s a lot of icons to choose from like car, pickup, semi-truck, bus, ATV, EMS, fire truck, bulldozer, bicycle, yacht.... you get the idea.11) They have the text, phone, email and address right in the app to contact support if you need help.Can\'t comment on the battery life holding up yet since I just got it today, but I just put a reminder on my phone to take it out and re-charge it on weekends when no one\'s gonna be lurking around the parking lot in broad daylight and other residents are around.EDIT: Batteries lasted for 3 1/2 weeks from the day I first activated my device until battery completely died. I have it on updates every 3 minutes. Maybe it will vary depending on other factors for you, but for me that\'s how long it took. The magnet on it seems very strong, but to be fair I didn\'t try mounting on the outside of my car, so I can\'t comment on if it\'ll fall off or not. I stuck it to a metal part hidden inside the car.There\'s a good variety of plans to choose from with updates at differing intervals and discounts if you pre-pay lump sum. It says you can cancel your subscription at any time.I\'m not able to pay the lump sum ones, so I went with the cheapest month to month one at $19.95/month for 3 minute updates so I\'ll know pretty quick if anyone\'s moving my car. It looks like the shortest update option is every 3 seconds if you need it that frequent.Very happy so far at how quick and easy it was to get setup. Will update this review if anything goes terribly wrong with it, but seems like it\'ll work for what I needed it for.Have a steering wheel lock and stuff on the way as well to hopefully deter or slow down anyone from trying again, but worst case I\'ll be able to track it now and tell the police where to look.EDIT: After using this for about a month and half, no earth-shattering problems. The couple of issues I had, customer service was able to resolve for me as mentioned.
  • Not to sound like a broken record, but I was a tad skeptical at the claims this company made as well as the reviews as I couldn\'t see it being that simple and affordable. I just bought my 6th unit as these things have become the most valuable tools in my arsenal of asset recovery. Hands down. These are great and rest assured you will not be disappointed (well, with the product at least, however finding out the truth about a trusted person in your life may be an entirely different story) but I digress -Units are easy to install, easy to activate, easy to charge and the software is easy to navigate through. The tracking software uses google maps so if you have ever used google maps it will be very familiar. The dimensions are indicated but to put in perspective think a small lens cap (say for 55mm lens) or shrunken hockey puck for a visual. Sorry for the bad analogy but they do remind me of that of a shrunken hockey put, so much that we no simply refer to them as \'pucks\' -Strong, durable, water proof with the charger port rubber seal put back in place and so far weather proof. The built in magnetic base is like that of a magnetic mount CB antenna base that you would use to stick on you car roof or trunk. Very strong and holds up to highway speeds and all the vibration a car is subject to on a commute (if it holds up on Los Angeles freeways and the poor roadway conditions it should be good to go anywhere in the 50/USA) - Just mount anywhere under the car where there is a flat and smooth metal surface where you can mount it in a spot that isn\'t obvious but also a place where you can retrieve easily and quickly later on.That of course is me assuming everyone would be using these to track vehicle movements. Ideally you would want to place the unit inside the car in a hidden spot but since that is not always possible, under the car is the next best thing. There are a million uses for these and limited only by a person\'s imagination. It will broadcast it\'s location from wherever it is. Backpacks, purses, cars, coolers, any vehicles, large equipment, generators, pockets, packages, furniture, watercraft, if you can mount it on or include it in, it will go.I use them to combat cargo/package theft and they have paid for themselves within the first week. From residential to full scale industry, stick one in a package and let the thieves tell you their story, for once they take a box, the tracker tells you all about their day and also gives you their location. It\'s great to knock on someone\'s door and politely listen to the protests of guilty pillaging people and then show them the map data that shows their travels with your package has ended up at their place. As for using to catch a cheating partner. It will do that, quite well. However to echo the statements made by other reviewers, be forewarned that you may find out that everything you thought you knew was actually a ton of crap. I\'ve seen people\'s lives derailed by using these when they find out that their spouse of 15+ years who they never thought of as being anything but faithful was actually the opposite. Adding to this nightmare was the fact that the act was also being committed with a life long trusted friend. Can you handle a betrayal like that? I don\'t know. I think there are some things that a person may not need to know but at the same time the truth needs to be exposed. Just something to think of.Monitoring or tracking service comes with several options. I believe it starts out at 24.95 per month for updates every 60 seconds. Next is a 30 second, and I believe there is one more option avail before the highest service which is constant update feed. That is the one that will eat the battery the most because the units are motion activated and start broadcasting when they sense movement. If you subscribe to a constant update service then the battery will die faster as the unit is constantly updating and broadcasting it\'s location. The less you want or need it to update the longer the battery will last. I pay for the 30 second update so it gives me an update 2x a minute which is fine and when using on a vehicle the battery gives me almost a week or just over based upon 2 45 minute commutes on vehicle per day 5 days a week. Battery life is actually quite good but it\'s life will depend on the duration and frequency of use + the subscription you choose. The unit doesn\'t start using battery power until it senses movement so as that varies so will the life of the battery.PROS: See aboveCONS: You might have to do some crawling under a car to mount if you don\'t have the option of placing in car. Might be unnerving to some folks. No alert if the unit were to fall off the car (never had that problem but if it did fall off or was REMOVED you wouldn\'t know it until you went to retrieve it. Wish there was something to alert a user) - Subsription is for one unit only. No multi unit discount at this time. If you use 4 units you will pay for 4 different subscriptions. Another issue I wish they would consider. Especially when one might buy 2 units so they can alternate and switch out a unit with a freshly charged unit. You might only use one at a time but in order to keep up a constant tracking history you would need to have 2 units and you will be required to pay for 2 separate subscriptions. And finally, again a big con is finding out the truth to a big lie someone might be leading and living. The truth can and does hurt so that is something to consider before setting out to obtain it.
  • Purchased and received same day. It was a little glitchy setting up and had to uninstall and start over, but when I got it out for a test run it was spot on. So 3 for the wonky set up, 5 for accuracy as it is precise, battery life a 3 as not sure yet as have only had it a few hours. I will update in the future! Yes, this is for new drivers in the house.Update: this tracker is accurate! Even shows when it is in the back of the house charging. Averaging about 2-3 weeks on a charge. When you do charge, get it to a full 100%. If you do a partial charge it will drain a lot faster. I last charged on Monday, it is Fri and we are at 90%. The more you drive or check, the faster it drops. We have the 3 min update which is fine for our needs.
  • The only thing that was bothersome was the real time delay for review but that moreso do to the subscription you buy. While tracking in motion you receive real time, I subscribed for the lowest. Text received 3 stars but I didn\'t use teck support just the digital support.
  • Just as described. Shipping was fast and set up was a breeze. Also the app is very user friendly and easy to navigate and has a lot of neat features. The magnet on this thing is strong too which was a plus, and it felt durable and well built. Takes awhile to charge and battery life doesn\'t update as quick on the phone app as I would like, so I guess that would be my only critique but overall, I\'m very pleased with my purchase and it\'s a great product...
  • Bought this to make sure the kids were safe and where they should be. It’s accurate more so than I even expected. Battery life is great, the energy saver modes are wonderful and make the battery last even longer. I like that the lights can be turned off so it’s like a stealth mode. Am buying one for each vehicle I own now
