- THE BEST BY FAR...Where should I start!! This is excelent product. I looked at similar units for hours and decided on the shields unit.The price isn\'t the best thing about this device. It\'s inexpensive but it\'s an extreemly high quality product. The monthly fee for the tracking service is very reasonable but the yearly fee is the much better deal, depends on what your useing it for!!! I suspected my girlfriend was cheating on me so I only needed something short term. I was able to answer the question in a relativly short amount of time thanks to this unit. The geofencing and other alert features are very usefull. They updated the service features to include driving alerts such as harsh acceleration and braking. When I had a question on how to use certain functions customer service was there with the answers and even put me in touch with their IT department..... who actually listened and wanted feedback on what functions I thought might be usefull to add to their product!!! The one thing to know about this unit is that even though it\'s small it needs to be plugged in to the OBD port for power and will stick out past the panel cover. You may need to detach the OBD from it\'s clips on the dash and tuck it up further behing the dash to conceal it.
- This tracker will not operate consistently. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. It\'s not reliable. When my year of service is up I will replace it with a different brand.
- I had purchased two other Shield GPS last year ShieldGPS Hidden GPS Tracker for Cars & Vehicles - OBDII Device for Tracking, Anti Theft and Surveillance and have been very satisfied with that version. The map system was very accurate and gave real time updates and you can\'t see it sticking out from the vehicles OBD port unlike this new version. It sticks out and you can see the device lights blinking allowing the driver to notice its attached the the car. I\'ll be sending it back.
- Best purchase I\'ve made in a while! I\'ve had to use a few of these things in the past, and this one seems to be the best so far - it has the cheapest monthly price, plus the app lets you set location and driving alerts (e.g. speeding, bad driving), and shows you the mileage. Be aware that you have to pay a monthly fee if you want tracking, but that seems to be the norm.
- Awesome!!! Easy to setup and within a few minutes I could see my cars location in the app. The trip history menu is great and makes it very easy to see where my car has been. Location seems perfectly accurate. The geofencing and speed alarm are nice touches. And customer support was very responsive in answering the few questions I had. Great find and I’d highly recommend!
- I like that they show you trips taken. But they did an update and now it doesn’t show approximate address
- The accuracy was dead on to where the vehicle was and not much of a delay of any sort, said 10 secs for the plan I got, but wasn\'t even that when the vehicle was on the move. I recommend this device! Thank you!
- Do not buy!!! You can only get alerts and notifications via email ONLY!!! Also, they provide no way to cancel your monthly subscription for their services, so I had to literally cancel my card!!! I only had this device 2 weeks and I\'m already sending it back!!! Also, they don\'t have a real true app......you have to utilize their website and save it to your homescreen in order to have quick access!!! Accuracy is very lacking.....it placed my car on the wrong side of the road at a different house every time!!! In public places, my card would be placed in an area marked full of trees and bushes not a parking lot!!!
