- I installed this on a T-Beam with M8N GPS chip. I tested the signal in and out of a 3D-printed case for Meshtastic.Outside of the case, the chip would receive GPS signals standing on my front porch. Outside of the case, it would not receive any GPS signals indoors.Inside the case, I only received GPS signals in unobstructed clear view of the sky. Also, I received fewer satellites (6) compared to the Circomm antenna (9).I like the lower price of this unit, but I will spend the extra money on the better-performing 32db High Gain Cirocomm 5cm Active GPS Antenna Ceramic Antenna 25x25x2mm Geekstory antenna in the future.
- was unable to get a lock inside with the NEO6M, after adding this antenna I was able to get a lock right away inside.
- Nice gain, works great. Just know that the wire is as short as shown in the picture, maybe a little shorter.
