Added to my Bayliner 245 vertical mount to my dash looks great. Touch screen easy to use. Installed myself. Tracking at high boat speed, you see phone texts come across screen how cool. Still haven’t had much chance to use much on puget sound due to stormy weather this winter. But I think I’m going to enjoy it!
This Garmin has a easy to read screen, I had a 5 inch before. Easy to install if you have a little knowledge.
Bought the 106 SV and the LVS 12 Panoptics. $2,500 worth of equipment had issues right out of the gate and called the customer support after several questions and the we will get back to you which they never did I called back a week later to get someone else on the line they told me I must have installed it wrong so I went to a Marine electronics place paid the $110 they said there was nothing wrong with the install that I had a Bad head unit, I called back Garmin they said they would send me a Refurbished unit (Not new?) but I had to give them a $700 deposit on my credit card and it would be refunded when they get mine back, I reluctantly did it.. 2 weeks later I still haven\'t received my deposit back even though they acknowledged they received the unit back they keep apologizing and saying they are not sure why its not going through?? and to add salt to the wound my Panoptics transducer cable got pinched by my trolling motor (my fault) the day I set up the replacement and now gives an error message. I called tech support again they tell me there is no way to repair or replace the cable and even after everything I\'ve gone through there is no concession they can give and I will have to buy a whole new Panoptics system. so here I am 3 months later $3,300 poorer and I haven\'t seen a Dang\" fish ( THANKS GARMIN!!)
