  • I have it 4 stars only because the device actually works pretty well! Tested in my car, and it showed the location about 50 yards from where it was. My biggest problem is I got it on a Sunday, and got a low battery warning on Wednesday! How can the battery die in less than a week on a \"brand new\" unit!?
  • This product reassures you where your luggage is when you travel a lot and it is a great product
  • I lose things. A lot. That\'s why I\'ve been a power user of Tile for a long time - I have tile everywhere - on my keychain, my motorcycle, my backpack, etc. However, one of the problems with Tile is that when you\'re in the same building, it doesn\'t give you distance info or let you know the precise spot the Tile is at.Thanks to UWV (which stands for Ultra Wide Band) SmartTag + gives you precise location (even shows a camera overlay showing you the distance, if you should turn left/right or go forward, and when you\'re close enough, it shows some sparkly animation over the spot (such as a under a pillow) where your Tag is hiding.Part of the magic of these types of finder devices (Tile, Airtag, and SmartTag) is that they don\'t just rely on connectivity with your own phone to help you locate. For example, if you lose a finder somewhere in your city, they can leverage other phones to anonymously track your finder and relay the approximate location (and time located) to you.I was very curious to see how well this \"finder network of other phones\" works with Samsung Smart Tag +, particularly because it\'s limited to Samsung phones, and Samsung also says that only people who have opted-in to the finder network via SmartThings can help you locate your phone. I tested the Smart Tag + by turning off my linked smartphone, driving a few miles with my SmartTag +, and leaving it in the bushes. Within 20 minutes, it was \"found by another galaxy device\" and the SmartThings app showed me the correct location. Given that their network is still small, I was impressed, and I\'m sure it will get better with time as more people join the finder network.I\'m also pleased with the SmartTag + small form-factor, and the very loud audio it generates. My only knock on the product is its battery life, which is six months or less. Fortunately, the app provides a battery life indicator (something even Tile doesn\'t offer).Bottom line, As of July, 2021, Samsung\'s SmartTag + and Apple\'s Air Tag are ahead of Tile in the finder game for two reasons. First, they have adopted UWB which provides superior (more precise) location within short ranges, and for long range, they are superior because their existing fleet of smartphones already blanket every nook and cranny of the developed world. If you lose your keys in the Sahara desert, their finder networks might not help you, but you probably have bigger problems at that point. On the whole, I can recommend the Samsung SmartTag +, and will use it over Tile for my keys until Tile manages to release their own UWB equipped finders, which I have no doubt their engineers are scrambling to churn out as I type this.
  • I have a Galaxy S22 and I figured it would work fine as I saw the Galaxy S22 line listed and I since it is the latest Galaxy S model out there why wouldn\'t it. The reality is you need to have a Plus or Ultra S22 for it to work in the Tag+ mode where using AR it guides you to the missing item. With an S22 it acts just like a Galaxy Tag NON PLUS which is not what I was looking for. Still it is a fine item as long as you have the right phone for it. Otherwise buy the less expensive non plus model.
  • I heard more and more people are purchasing SmartTag\'s, and after our purchase, I couldn\'t be happier. Super easy to register on your phone. Not only is it extremely accurate, but you can set off a ring alarm for location. Great for luggage as well as family safety.
  • I have 3 of these and bought due to stated battery life of 1 year. Well, I\'ve had the batteries failing after 1 day to 10 days! One of the 3 originals I had to replace after less than a year as it wouldn\'t work even with new battery. Pretty soon I\'ll be paying more for batteries than the cost of the device.
  • The SmartTag+ is useless if it\'s still synced with the previous owner\'s SmartThings App. I\'m having to return it.Thank you, Amazon Warehouse, for not checking the item to ensure it would be accepted by the new owner\'s SmartThings App.So much for saving a few bucks! 🙄
  • Bought 3 of these. My phone is the Samsung S22 Ultra. I pressed the button on 1 of them it connected immediately and effortlessly. I renamed it. Second and third ones wouldn\'t connect. Changed the battery on the second one and it connected. I renamed that one. Third one still wouldn\'t connect or register. Searched YouTube for \"Troubleshoot Samsung Smart tag plus\" found a short video where a guy walks you through how to reset them (it\'ll take 50 seconds). Tried it and it worked. Third one finally connected to my phone. I renamed it. All three seem fine now. Will see how it goes as the weeks go by. Seems 2 of 3 came with dead batteries. I happened to have a roll of those CR2032\'s laying around since so many devices I own use them, so it worked out I guess. Otherwise I would been a little annoyed if I had to go out and buy batteries for my brand new tags.
