- We like the touch screen. The directions were ok. It was easy to install, and being able to remove the front part easily was great.
- I bought this for my new bass boat and installed it on the bow along with the trolling motor. It works great and is easy to install.. I would give it a 5 star BUT.. their instructions to register and download the newest maps and software is very confusing. Had to call Garmin for help and that\'s a bit of a hassle. After they told me what their instructions didn\'t everything was pretty easy. The features and images are super clear, and easy to see. I love the split screen. Over all I would highly recommend this fish finder.

- Garmin\'s claim to 17,000 lake maps in this unit may be correct as I have not counted them. What I do know is that I would hate to be lost and have to depend on this units maps to find my way home. They are basic at best. I would consider them as a selling point used by Garmin while offering your the better maps in a chip that is considerable expensive. Having used Chartplotters since they became available I have seen many come and go and this one is pure entry level quality.
